Unemployment and your relationship

Whilst the most recent figures seem to suggest that as the economy begins to recover unemployment is falling, we at TCCR know that job loss continues to be a painful and difficult issue for many families. Divorce rates for the unemployed are about twice as high as the national average showing that job loss is a serious challenge for many families.

Politicians need to commit to relationships

The three leading relationship organisations Relate, One Plus One and The Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships, have come together to warn politicians that relationships between adults should be centre stage in social policy as they are often at the root of problems with children's achievement at school, and emotional wellbeing. Relationship breakdown also leads to many adults falling into poverty, homelessness, depression or losing their jobs. 

TCCR launches in central london

On Thursday 10 ^th December, TCCR  launched its new central London centre in Warren Street. Guest speaker, Professor Tanya Byron, spoke about the impact couples can have on children's wellbeing and how important it is for families to have access to services such as TCCR's.  Tanya endorsed the "excellence of our work and it's relevance to couples and families in distress" and spoke of the link between children's problems & difficulties in their parent's relationship.

TCCR launches a New Service for Parents

"Parenting Together - from Conflict to Collaboration"

TCCR is pleased to announce the launch of its innovative new counselling and therapy service for parents in conflict about their children. We work with parents who live together or apart, including those in relationships where families are brought together with children from previous relationships.
